[edit] About

In January 2007 subscribers to the LDSClerks mailing list began a wiki project to gather the information they have collected and shared about the clerical function into a single place.

[edit] What is the LDSClerks Wiki?

The LDSClerks Wiki is an online, open resource for people serving as clerks in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It contains the collective experience of those who have served as clerks. When in doubt, official church policy statements and MLS instructions overrule anything written here.

[edit] Why a wiki?

Like Wikipedia and other public wikis, anyone who registers on the LDSClerks wiki can add pages and make changes to the wiki. We encourage all list members to help improve the wiki and make it useful source of information for clerks.

We hope that community members will improve upon existing pages, and create new content as necessary. The "wiki" nature of the web site allows community members to collaborate around the content, as well as transforming it into a living, breathing document.

The goal is to create an always-changing, up-to-date, useful, helpful, and community-created web site.

[edit] Why would I want to contribute to LDSClerks?

There are many reasoning for contributing to LDSClerks -- some people do it for fun, or to communicate with other members, or to join a community of like-minded individuals, as an intellectual challenge, or to share knowledge with other people.

Because this site is a community project, we don't claim to have all of the answers in advance, but we hope to build a thriving community of users and contributors.

If you have suggestions for changes or additions, please feel free to contribute.
